Joris Thomas Kindt

Joris has always been creative. When he was little he drew a lot. Years have passed since, but two years ago he started working again and now he is back in business. He believes that by just doing it ones work can grow stronger and more effective. By working with a certain goal in mind, the idea behind the painting or drawing, works for Joris. By thinking during the process of making the work, the end result could turn out differently than you would expect it to be.

He draws “abstract chaos” and examples for him are Keith Haring, but some say they recognize a hint of Azthekian or Maori styles. Next to drawings, Joris produces 3D work. This 3D work mainly consist of sculptures. His sculptures all started with the foot of a broken glass. Joris attached some computer parts to it. Now he makes sculptures from computer parts and other things that are available. By spraying the different materials in different colours he sees the transformation from “parts” to what men calls a work of art. He sees the world differently by categorizing each single object he sees. Each object can be used for a new sculpture.

As an artist Joris sees himself as a starting artist. He has his own vision and feels free to make his own work. He feels in control while working. If people recognize this he gains confidence. Art lets you communicate on a whole new level with people, because the audience shows appreciation without talking.

Kindt has been exhibited at Galerie Simplon.
